NALG Australia (QLD DIVISION) COMMITTEE 2018




 










HISTORY
NALG Australia first began on August 8th 1964 when George Ewart arranged a Left Handed group of four to compete in the JP Mulholland Day at Nudgee Golf Club in Brisbane, QLD. The group of four comprised of George Ewart, Bill Bowden, John Daniher and Gary Downs.
Various NALG Divisions then emerged;
1964 QUEENSLAND DIVISION
1966 TASMANIA & VICTORIA
1967 NEW SOUTH WALES
1975 CENTRAL QLD, NORTH QLD & the ACT
1977 SOUTH AUSTRALIA
1978 RIVERINA
1987 NORTHERN RIVERS (NSW)
1989 FAR NORTH QUEENSLAND
1993 NEWMAN (WA)
1998 PERTH (WA) & FOSTER/TUNCURRY (NSW)
Australia's first National Championship was held at the Brisbane Golf Club in 1966.



Associations for Left Handed Golfers throughout the world commenced as early as 1927.
